SM Cares champions sustainable and eco-friendly mobility through the Bike-Friendly SM Program, creating safe, convenient, and enjoyable biking experiences for the growing cycling community. Recognizing the health, environmental, and economic benefits of biking, SM has developed bike-friendly infrastructure and promotes road safety through education and awareness campaigns.

Bike Facilities

SM has built 18 km of shared and dedicated bike lanes at the SM Mall of Asia, alongside bike racks, vending machines, and repair stations. Other highlights include SM Seaside Cebu’s 1.6 km bike lanes, SM Center Pulilan’s 2.1-hectare bike trail, SM City Marikina’s bike lanes and free vehicle parking for cyclists, and SM City Iloilo’s partnership with the LGU to promote a cycling culture. Today, 87 SM malls offer bike parking with over 6,300 slots, repair stations, and bike-friendly tenants.

Share the Road

SM promotes road safety through the Biker’s Manual and Bike Safety Videos, developed in partnership with the DOTr, MMDA, European embassies, and cycling advocacy groups. These materials educate both bikers and motorists on road safety, first aid, and proper biking etiquette.

World and National Bicycle Day Celebration

SM celebrates *World Bicycle Day (June 3)* and National Bicycle Day (November) by hosting bike-friendly activities across SM malls. These events promote biking as a sustainable and accessible mode of transportation while fostering a strong cycling community.
